From 28 May to 1st June 2024, the Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (FGDR) is pleased to host the Annual General Meeting and International Conferences (AGM) of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI) in Nice, the capital of the French Riviera.

The European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI) was created in 2002. Its objective is to promote active European cooperation in the field of deposit guarantee schemes and investor compensation schemes. It is a unique place where members and partners exchange their experiences as practitioners. They work together to analyze European and national regulations. More information on www.efdi.eu
About the Annual General Meeting and International Conferences (AGM)
The Annual General Meeting and International Conferences (AGM) is a key event of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), bringing together deposit insurers from all over Europe. The AGM offers a unique platform for members of the EFDI to exchange expertise and information among guarantee schemes, to share best practices, and to discuss the advancement of their common mission.
The EFDI 2024 Annual General Meeting and International Conferences program
During this AGM EFDI 2024, members will discuss recent developments, challenges, and opportunities in the deposit insurance sector.
Four days of meetings from 28 May to 1 June, including:
- a strong ecosystem: 67 EFDI members attending from 50 countries;
- Tuesday 28 May: an Investor Compensation Schemes (ICS) and International Conference;
- Wednesday 29 May: a full day dedicated to EFDI Working Groups & Committees
- a Stress Test Working Group;
- a FinTech Working Group;
- a Cross border Finance Subgroup;
- a Cross border Legal Subgroup and
- a Public Relations and Communication (PRC) Committee.
- Thursday 30 May, a full day dedicated to:
- current affairs;
- financial affairs;
- governance affairs (such as the election of a Non-EU Board Member and the generational change in the General Secretariat) and
- various reports from the EFDI Board, the EFDI Secretary General and the Secretariat, the Treasurer, the Auditor, and the Committees and Working Groups.
- Friday, 31 May, a whole day committed to the Annual International DGS Conference entitled: “Financial stability for the many? Deposit insurers at work”. It features more 27 speakers from Europe, the USA and Latin America. Distinguished guests such as Mrs. Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, Chairwoman of the French Financial Markets Authority, who will introduce the Investor Compensation Schemes (ICS) International Conference, and François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France , who will introduce the 2024 Annual International DGS Conference, are also invited.
